Philip Ebbrell - Ethereal Sketches
Artist Phil Ebbrell captures the fluidity and drama of Florence + the Machine’s live shows beautifully in his sketches from the London O2 Arena shows (High As Hope Tour, Nov 2019).
Florence Welch is known for her dreamy stage presence and flowing movements as she leaps and glides throughout Florence + the Machine’s live shows. We recently received a submission from Philip, an artist who is particularly drawn to sketching artists during their performances, capturing the fluidity and drama of the ‘High As Hope’ tour beautifully. The weaving interconnections of each line, together with the chaotic markings and bold colourings are a testament to the ferocity of each live show, captured beautifully in each sketch.

If you would like to be featured in the ‘Celestial Vaults’, please fill in the form on this page for consideration. We’d love to see your creativity, hear your stories, and anything else you may have!
Anders Ippoliti - A Message to Florence
“You are so amazing: a compassionate, empathetic, beautiful, genuine, creative, warm human being. I hope I will be able to talk to you some day…” A fan message from Anders Ippoliti after seeing the band live on their High As Hope Tour in Stockholm.
You are so amazing: a compassionate, empathetic, beautiful, genuine, creative, warm human being. I hope I will be able to talk to you some day…
Dear Florence,
Yesterday, I went to your concert at Ericsson Globe in Stockholm. It was the most amazing experience ever!
I just wanted you to know that you are my anchor in a life where it has often felt as if I was a ship to wreck. It feels as if How Big How Blue How Beautiful has been written and created to describe / give vision to my feelings. Songs like What kind of Man, Shake it out, Which Witch, Cosmic Love, The End of Love, Hunger, Never Let me Go, Breaking down, really speak to my soul. You touch the very depths of my spirit and you are my inspiring muse in my writing.
When writing my second novel which is a sequel of an autobiographical memoir, I was deeply influenced by the song St. Jude and Ship to Wreck, actually by the whole album. Sky full of song describes my current state of mind/emotional situation. You are so amazing: a compassionate, empathetic, beautiful, genuine, creative, warm human being. I hope I will be able to talk to you some day. You saved my life. ❤️ Anders
