Fans seeing the Maccabees headline slot at the Park Stage at Glastonbury 2025 received a little extra surprise. Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine joined the band on-stage for a duet of ‘Love You Better, followed by Florence’s ‘Dog Days Are Over’.
This is not the first time the two bands have collaborated. Their earliest performances together included songs like ‘Midnight’ from the Cosmo project, and duetting ‘Toothpaste Kisses’ at the Hollywood Bowl in 2012.

Florence Welch joins Taylor Swift for 'Florida!!!' on the Eras Tour
Tens of thousands of fans who were at Wembley Stadium on 20th August for Taylor Swift’s record-breaking 8th Eras Tour show in London were treated to a couple of special surprises…appearances from Raye, Jack Antonoff, and none other than Florence Welch herself…
Fans were audibly shocked when the opening lines of ‘Florida!!!’ began echoing throughout the stadium. “What? WHAT?!” exclaimed excited fans in one video; this was the first time Taylor had played this song live. Then, as the end of the first chorus concluded, Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine emerged from beneath the stage, rising as if resurrected for this special moment.
“The national treasure” (as Taylor herself said) paraded and twirled ethereally for her appearance alongside Swift, serving some incredible vocals as she did. The performance was complete with moving stage parts and choreography.

'The Third Day' by HBO sees Florence Welch in her acting debut
Florence Welch makes her TV acting debut as ‘Veronica’, including an exclusive song.
Florence Welch features in HBO’s new series ‘The Third Day’.
The series takes place over 4 episodes, each titled by a season. Florence appears in her TV acting debut in ‘Autumn’, the third episode.
The series sees a man travel to the island of Osea, on the coast of Essex (England, UK) and discover their ritualistic way of life. In ‘Autumn’, Florence Welch takes on the role of Veronica, a celtic-style chanteuse who greets him, leads him to a ritual spot and sings an untitled hymn written by Florence.
The episode mirrors many biblical moments, from the wiping of the face by Veronica, to crucifiction, to baptism. All in all, it leads to some stunning visuals.
