Bud Egger's artwork
Florence and the Machine have been a highly influential part of Bud Egger’s recent Drawings and Prints. Two songs which have has the most impact are Cosmic Love, and Free. Although it can be said almost every song has resinated with Bud and his daughter’s souls. Bud Egger’s Daughter was severely ill a few years back with Crohn’s disease. After a major surgery she began to gain her strength back through exercise by running in the forest. While doing so she would listen to Cosmic love. She shared this with her Father Bud. Elizabeth and music were Bud’s inspiration. Through Florence and the Machine’s music they were able to heal together. The second specific song is Free. Bud Egger has also suffered from anxiety which the song represents. Florence and the Machine’s music has the ability to capture an emotion and make sense if it. With this ability they have greatly enhanced people’s well-being and inspired them to be present in their surroundings as well as their creative endeavours. For that we are incredibly thankful for their music.

Philip Ebbrell - Ethereal Sketches
Artist Phil Ebbrell captures the fluidity and drama of Florence + the Machine’s live shows beautifully in his sketches from the London O2 Arena shows (High As Hope Tour, Nov 2019).
Florence Welch is known for her dreamy stage presence and flowing movements as she leaps and glides throughout Florence + the Machine’s live shows. We recently received a submission from Philip, an artist who is particularly drawn to sketching artists during their performances, capturing the fluidity and drama of the ‘High As Hope’ tour beautifully. The weaving interconnections of each line, together with the chaotic markings and bold colourings are a testament to the ferocity of each live show, captured beautifully in each sketch.
