Florence + the Machine release new single 'King'
Florence + the Machine tease the release of their new single ‘King’, as well as some more hints about the upcoming 5th studio album.
After a 4 year hiatus, a new era is upon us.
On 20th February 2022, Florence + the Machine’s photographer Lillie Eiger shared an image of a card sent to her with ‘Chapter 1’ - ‘King’ written on the tarot.
The following day, Florence + the Machine’s official website updated to a new theme.
Fans close to the band’s management, and also those who have purchased from the official Florence + the Machine store recently, are receiving tarrot cards with ‘King’ as below.
Florence + the Machine’s taster single, ‘King’, is was released on 23rd Feburary 2022. It is taken from their 5th studio album featuring 15 tracks, yet untitled, due for release in late Spring. Take a look at the promo materials and video below.

Two festival appearances announced
Florence + the Machine are set to return to the live stage this July, for two festival appearances.
It will be their first live appearance since September 2019 in Athens, Greece for their iconic Herodion Theatre show.
They will be appearing both at Nos Alive Festival (Portugal) and Mad Cool Festival (Spain).

Florence + the Machine release new song- Call Me Cruella
Hold on to your hats, because Florence + the Machine have written a song for the new Disney film ‘Creulla'.
The song titled ‘Call Me Cruella' is a short but powerful number, released on the 21st May 2020.

Florence Welch co-writes for the new Great Gatsby musical score
Following our announcement a few months ago that Florence Welch is working on a musical score, it was announced today that it would be The Great Gatsby.
Following our announcement a few months ago that Florence Welch is working on a musical score, it was announced today that it would be The Great Gatsby.
The music score, co-written and composed with Martyna Majok and Thomas Bartlett (AKA Doveman who has worked on other songs with Florence including ‘Hunger’, ‘The End of Love’, ‘Big God’ and ‘Jenny of Oldstones’) will premiere on Broadway.
Speaking in a statement, Florence says:
This book has haunted me for a large part of my life. It contains some of my favourite lines in literature. Musicals were my first love, and I feel a deep connection to Fitzgerald’s broken romanticism. It is an honour to have been offered the chance to recreate this book in song.

Florence Welch features in Gucci’s 'Overture' fashion festival, in celebration of designer and creative director's new line of clothing and accessories. The short film sees Florence Welch browsing a vintage store, slipping phrases into pockets for people to find.
She's dressed in head to toe Gucci, complete with a floaty brown pleated dress and large brimmed hat. See photos from the event and video below.
